Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium or IG Indoor Stadium is located at the Indraprastha estate of eastern Delhi. It is the biggest indoor stadium of India and the second largest of the world. It was built in the year of 1982 by the Government of India. It is named after the former prime minister of India, Indira Gandhi. The stadium is equipped with soundproof walls, futuristic lighting systems and audio system. The Gymnastics arena has one indoor stadium and two warm-up halls. The cycling track is a fully covered timber track of 250 meters. The wrestling ring of the IG Indoor Stadium has three competition domes and six warm-up areas.
Accommodation: The gymnastics arena can accommodate 14,348 spectators. The cycling arena of the stadium can accommodate up to 4,000 spectators. 6,932 spectators can sit at the cycling venue of the stadium.
