The South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh has a very strong political structure that is well supported by the “National Parties” of our country. The state of Andhra Pradesh display a multi- party politics where many National Parties work collectively for the development of the state. Andhra Pradesh is served by five prominent “National Parties” each of which is governed by its own set of rules and principles. Being one of the most important commercial and industrial center of our country, most of the National Parties aspire to establish a strong hold on the state of Andhra Pradesh.
In the recent years, the state of Andhra Pradesh has witnessed a sudden increase in the participation of the “National Parties”. During the initial period of development of the state, most of the people of Andhra Pradesh used to show their affiliation to the State Parties. However with the passage of time, the National Parties gained considerable importance, so much so that in the 2004 Assembly elections, the Indian National Congress had swept the polls and Y.S. Rajashekara Reddy was appointed as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
