MP and MLA of Arunachal Pradesh


MP and MLA of Arunachal Pradesh are the Members of Parliament and Members of the Legislative Assembly respectively. The MP is elected by the the voters of the constituencies to the Parliament while the MLA is elected by the voters of an electoral district to the Legislative Assemble of a state.

All total there are 63 MP and MLA from Arunachal Pradesh, out of which 60 are MLA's and 3 are MP's. Out of the three MP's one is the member of Rajya Sabha while the other two are the members of Lok Sabha. Out of these two Members of Parliament in Lok Sabha, one is the member of West Parliamentary Constituency while the other represents East Parliamentary Constituency.

Amongst all the Arunachal Pradesh MP and MLA, eleven MLA's are the active Chairmans of different Government Boards and Commissions while seven MLA's are acting as Parliamentary Secretaries. The MLA of Arunachal Pradesh are the representative of the common citizens of Arunachal Pradesh in its State Legislative Assembly. While the MP is the representative of his constituency in the Parliament.

Members of Parliament and Members of Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh raise the problems of their respective regions at their respective Houses. The MP's raise the issues on a national level where as the MLA's raise local issues in the State Assembly.
