Anini

In the state of Arunachal Pradesh, Anini is the headquarter of the Dibang Valley district. Anini in Arunachal Pradesh is situated about 234 kilometers from Roing.

Tours to the different cities of Arunachal Pradesh seems to be incomplete without a visit to Anini. Anini, with its scintillating mountains and green valleys, is a delight for the tourists to relish. In Arunachal Pradesh, Anini is among those towns and cities that is yet to be touched by the hustle and bustle of the city. Therefore, Anini provides a tranquil atmosphere where tourists can enjoy the serene beauty of the nature.

Before the division of the Valley into Lower Dibang Valley and Dibang Valley, Anini had been the headquarter of the district. In fact, Anini had been the headquarter of this territory since a very long time.

Moreover, Anini at Arunachal Pradesh is a small town situated on the plateau overlooking Dri river. In this context, it is worthy of mention that Anini is one of the under-developed cities in Arunachal Pradesh. In fact, in spite of the endeavor of the government of Arunachal Pradesh the city is yet to be called a developed city. Roing, the nearest town in the Lower Dibang Valley district, seems to be supporting Anini in terms of infrastructure and other commercial necessities.

In fact, till recently, the inhabitants of Anini largely dependent on Indian Air Force for their daily supply of food. The Idu Mishmiâs, a local tribe, were dependent for their supply of rice, cooking oil, wheat, and all and sundry of their household.

Anini of Arunachal Pradesh is said to be the only district capital which is devoid of an all-weather road. But, in spite of these anomalies Anini is a site worth seeing.
