Arunachal Pradesh is a popular destination for those tourists who seek to know about different cultures of the world. The tribal culture of Arunachal Pradesh has always been a matter of wonder for the tourists and attracts their attention towards this state. The Apatanis tribe of Arunachal Pradesh is a major tribal community who are mainly found in ziro.

The Apatanis mainly inhabit the lands around Ziro, which is the head quarter of Lower Subansiri District. Cultivation is a major form of economy for the Apatanis tribe of Arunachal Pradesh. These tribes are well introduced with all the modern methods of cultivation and produce large number of vegetables at different times of the year. Jhum cultivation is very favorite among those tribes who reside around the hilly areas.

The dress up style of the Apatanis tribes in Arunachal Pradesh are different from the other tribes. The old men of the Apatanis tribe still maintain a traditional style of sketching tattoos on their faces. They keep long hair and tie them in top knot style. Whereas, it was a common feature on the part of the womenfolk to draw tattoos and wear nose rings. But since the beginning of 1970's they have stopped maintaining all these cultures. Their style funda is now completely free to their will.

The Apatanis are one of the most advanced weavers of this state. The coats and shawls made by the Apatanis are wonderful and are of very high quality. Besides cotton or wool they use fibers extracted from trees and human and goat hairs for weaving. Even the shirts, handbags, carpets, lungis made by them are of excellent artistic feature. Even many embroidered cloths are also produced by them.

In contrast with the other tribes of Arunachal Pradesh the Apatanis tribe are much advanced and financially stabled.
