Amongst all the tribes that reside in the domain named Arunachal Pradesh, the Banganis are indeed very popular. The pulsating landscape that beleaguers the area opposite to the eastern province of Kameng is inhabited by individuals of the Banganis in collaboration with the Sulangs who do not believe in village community and are very profusely diffused. In fact, this area lies inside the premises of the bottom end of the Subansiri district.
Owing to their lack of sophistication, the parents of the bridegroom pay a feeble sum of money to the guardians of the bride as a price. Prior to this transaction, the bride is not accepted in the house of her husband which makes this dealing exceedingly important. The price is stipulated prior the marriage with the consent of the respective parties.
The matrimonial ceremony is also not feted with great pomp and elegance, but an informal party involving only the near and dear ones is all that is there. The groom and his counterpart are clad in fine intricately designed ornaments that augment their glory and charisma. The Banganis from Arunachal Pradesh are also well acquainted with the custom of marriage of service and marriage by employment.
