Ponung Dance

A men, who is generally known as 'Miri', dances at the center of the circle. The Miri is also said to sing and a play a musical instrument, known as 'Yoksha' at the center of the circle.

In fact, the Miri initiates a song during the dance performance, which is continued by the other members of the group. The song that follows Ponung Dance at Arunachal Pradesh is, generally, a chorus song sung in chorus by all the participants of the dance.
