Boating in Arunachal Pradesh


Basically two things has made Arunachal Pradesh the destination of tourists from all over the world. Arunachal Pradesh has been the seat of adventure sports like trekking, river rafting, boating. The most famous sites for boating in Arunachal Pradesh are:

  • Ganga Lake: Covering about 67,500 m, this ovuculate-triangular shaped lake is amongst the rugged hill, provides a perfect setting for boating in the western part of Itanagar.
  • Sally Lake: Overlooking a beautiful valley, the clear water with variety of marine life makes boating a wonderful experience.
  • Pasighat: 60 km from Pasighat, Siom river is also a favorite spot for boating.
The challenging sport of river rafting in Arunachal Pradesh is something alluring to the world-wide adventurers. The high and low, curving, swirling rivers of Upper Himalaya are the best water bodies in India for white water rafting.
