Assam Airports

Traveling by Air is the easiest option while moving in and out of Assam. Assam airports are served mainly by domestic airline services though some international flights also operate from these airports. The Dibrugarh airport is located 15 kms downtown in an area of 253.959 Acres. It lies at coordinates 27º28'50" North Latitude and 95º01'18" East Longitude and is one of the important airports within the state. Tezpur Airport is situated 7 kms from the city and Indian airlines operate flights to Jorhat and Kolkata from Tezpur. Silchar Airport is another important access point in the airways map of Assam. It is located at 24 kms north east of Silchar City. Air Deccan and Indian airlines operate regularly from this airport. 7 kms from the south of the city of Jorhat is another airport known as Rowriah Airport from where Indian Airlines and Jet Airways operate regularly. Lilabari airport in Lakhimpur district of Assam, at an elevation of 330 feet is situated at coordinates 27º17'44" North Latitudes and 94º05'52" East Longitudes. Together, these Assam airports help maintain a wide network of airways within and outside the state of Assam.
