Deepor Beel


Deepor Beel is a huge stretch of wetland with the presence of a magnificent freshwater lake. This permanent water body attracts a large number of migratory birds and home to numerous rare species of fishes and other water creatures. The Deepor Beel in Guwahati, Assam is actually a old channel of the River Brahmaputra. The large lake is conspicuous with the presence of diverse flora and fauna.
