Bannerghatta National Park of Karnataka is home to lions, tigers, panthers and various species of birds. The area includes ten reserve forests of the Anekal Range of Bangalore Forest Division. These beautiful hills are covered with many ancient temples. The beauteous Suvarnamukhi stream runs through the Bannerghatta National Park. This stream originates in the Suvarnamukhi Hills. These hills spreads out to a huge rock. The Dravidian style Champaka Dharna Swamy Temple is at the foot of this rock. The Suvarnamukhi pond near the hill is also considered holy and is believed to possess healing ability.
