Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha in Bhubaneswar (CCRAS) is a famous research institute in India.

Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha in Bhubaneswar has the objective of developing itself as an authentic research center in alternate medicines. It wishes to establish links with similar institutions for the betterment of their work.

Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha in Bhubaneswar puts emphasis on the factors responsible for the disease. It tries to evoke awareness so that diseases may not occur. It carries out special awareness campaigns in the rural areas of Orissa. It helps other bodies in their activities.

This institute is based on the medical philosophy which is very ancient and traditional. It had to overcome the British influences which never supported such medications. It started reviving such schools of medicinal studies. In 1916 such studies were recognized and in 1920 Indian National Congress passed a resolution in favor of it. It thus got the platform to work.

CCRAS formulates, coordinates and develops researches in the fields of Ayurveda and Siddha. It was founded in March 1978. It is recognized by CCRIM and H.

Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha in Bhubaneswar has The Minister of Health and Family Welfare as the President, Joint Secretary as the Chairman of the Standing Finance Committee.

Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha in Bhubaneswar has renowned scholars as members of the Scientific Advisory Committees.
