Regional College of Management of Bhubaneswar



Regional College of Management of Bhubaneswar (RCM) is one of the best management colleges of not only Bhubaneswar, but also eastern India. Established in 1982, it was actually the first management institute of the state. It is affiliated to the BPUT (Biju Patnaik University of Technology), Rourkela. A recent survey has ranked Regional College of Management of Bhubaneswar 11 th , amongst the business schools of India.

 

The institute offers both MBA and Executive MBA programmes. Admission for the former is through the OJEE (Orissa Joint Entrance Examination), conducted by the state. Examination centers are mostly in Orissa with a few being in other important cities in eastern India. The programme is meant for fresh graduates, graduates with work experience and professionals like engineers and chartered accountants. The eligibility criteria is either 50% in CAT or a score of 500 in MAT (fresh graduates) and 50% in CAT and 475 in MAT (graduates with 1 year of work experience).

 

The Executive MBA course is a 3 year part-time programme. To be eligible, the candidate should have 50% at the graduation level. 2 years of work experience in some reputed company or non-governmental concern or 5 years if self-employed. Besides, a No-Objection or Sponsorship certificate must be provided by the current employer. There is no entrance test.

 

Hostel facilities are available for boys and girls within campus premises. A guest house with three AC double-bedrooms is available for parents and guests and guest faculty. However, prior bookings must be done.

 

24 hour Internet access is offered besides a students' computing lab. The library stores over 18,000 books and all major newspapers, magazines and journals.

 

Regional College of Management of Bhubaneswar is one of the oldest and excellent management institutes of eastern India.
