He is the president of two organizations- Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Shiksha Prasarak Mandal, Amravati and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Smarak Samiti, Deeksha Bhoomi, Nagpur. He is an agriculturist by profession. He has participated in freedom struggle. The governor runs various high schools, colleges (arts, law, commerce, science, and MBA), and hospitals. He has been the vice-president and member of Maharashtra Branch of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and Executive Committee of World Fellowship of Buddhists Member.
