He is an agriculturist by profession. He has participated in freedom struggle. The governor runs various high schools, colleges (arts, law, commerce, science, and MBA), and hospitals. He has been the vice-president and member of Maharashtra Branch of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and Executive Committee of World Fellowship of Buddhists Member.
