It also provided great shopping opportunities for the inhabitants of Bihar. Bihar's tourism and trade mart goes on for 14 days. Founded in 2002, tourism and trade mart, Bihar attracted great crowds who got a chance to experience merchandises from every corner of India.
The tourism and trade mart of Bihar became a virtual melting pot as traders from all corners of India thronged here. They were spread over a number of stalls across the fair ground. It was also used as a great platform to promote the tourism industry of Bihar to the world. The local artisans of Bihar involved in, produced amazing handicrafts and were given a wonderful opportunity to showcase their arts and also to sell them. It was a great boost to the handicrafts industry of Bihar.
Big industrial houses also participated in the tourism and trade mart at Bihar alongside the small scale sellers selling indigenous objects of art. Many of them came up with attractive schemes to lure the buyers. Many foreign travel agencies were also present offering great touring opportunities to foreign lands at attractive prices.
Tourism and trade mart in Bihar was also a great place for cultural functions. Many artists of repute from all across the state were invited to perform at the premises of the fair.
