The Bikaner Camel Festival 2008 Venue will be the Junagarh Palace ground and the Polo grounds. The procession would begin from the Junagarh Palace and proceed to the Polo ground of Bikaner. Bikaner is a culturally rich place in the state of Rajasthan. The Junagarh Fort was established by Raja Rai Singh in the year 1588. The city was founded by Bikaji in the 15th century and is hence named after him. The Camel Festival held in India is very popular, especially in the city that is also known by the name of 'Camel City'.

How To Reach Bikaner

Bikaner does not have an airport of its own. The nearest airport from Bikaner is the Jodhpur airport, which is the most important means of transport for the tourists visiting to Bikaner. However, the railways are also very fast and the most economical modes of transportation to Bikaner from other parts of India. Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Mumbai are connected by direct railways to other parts of Bikaner. From Jaipur and New Delhi, there are regular deluxe bus services ferrying passengers to Bikaner. The highways are broad and safe for journeying.

As in each year, the Bikaner Camel Festival 2008 Venue is expected to draw a huge crowd comprising local people as well as tourists from other parts of India and abroad.
