Bikaner-Devi Kund tour is one of the famous tours from Bikaner. Devi Kund is a marvel that attracts thousands to tourists from the different parts of the world.
The Devi Kund contains a number of chattris that commemorate the great Bika rulers. The chattris are erected on the spot where the Bika rulers were cremated according to the Hindu norms. Each of the chattris reflect the grandeur of the Rajputana architecture. The chattris are white structures that are canopied with a stela. The name of the rulers are engraved on the cenotaphs.
The cenotaphs of the royal wives at Devi Kund are imprinted with the footprints bearing henna patterns. The henna patterns drawn on the footprints are reminiscent of the weddings and other festivals. Moreover, the cenotaphs of the children are white cubes that are smaller in size and do not bear the canopies.
The beautiful frescoes drawn on the ceiling bear intricate detailing and miniature pictures. Besides, many other cenotaphs are adorned with royal portraits. Some of the cenotaphs are also covered with stone inscriptions that reminds us of the glory of the Bika rulers.
