There are many Chhattisgarh Colleges & Institutes located in the different cities and towns of the state. Some of these educational institutes of Chhattisgarh are very renowned and attract students from all corners of the country every year.

The colleges of Chhattisgarh offer different sort of academic courses to the students. There are medical and engineering colleges as well. Some of the Law colleges in the state of Chhattisgarh are also very reputed.

The prestigious National Institute of Technology (NIT) is situated in the city of Raipur. It was formerly known as the Government Engineering College, Raipur. This institute was established in the year of 1963. In the December of the year 2005 this institute received the status of NIT.

Apart from the NIT there are many students of technology studying in the Government Polytechnic College of Gauchar. Courses on Civil and Electronic Engineering, Information Technology and Pharmacy are offered here.

There are many law colleges in the state. The most reputed of them are located in Raipur, Bastar, Durg, Bilaspur, Surguja and Rajnandgaon. These colleges offer legal education with specialization courses in civil law, forensic law, business law, criminal law, etc. The law college of Surguja is located in Ambikapur. It was established in the year 1972. This college is affiliated to the Guru Ghias University of Chhattisgarh. D.P Vipra Law College, Bilaspur is also affiliated to the same university. There are two more law colleges located in Bilaspur.
