Holy Spirit Church Goa

The Holy Spirit Church, Goa is one of the most religiously important and architecturally brilliant churches in Goa. The Church stands pretty at the Largo De Igreja - Church Square in Margao. The Church was built in 1675 during the Portuguese rule in Goa.

The Holy Spirit Church of Goa is a fine example of Baroque architectural style. The church was originally built in 1564 but was severely damaged during the Muslim invasion in 1571. It was reconstructed again in 1645. Thirty years later the Holy Spirit Church in Goa was consecrated.

The architecture of the Holy Spirit Church includes a white outer facade with towers, beautiful interiors adorned with crystal works, a central dome and intricately decorated altars.
