The World cup 2011 is one of the most anticipated events of the year. Scheduled to be held in the beginning of the year the event marks the beginning of a eventful year ahead. The opening ceremony of the 2011 world cup is scheduled to take place on the 17th of February and the matches will begin from the 19th of the same month.



There are 14 participating nations who are divided into two groups A and B. Going by the performance of the teams in the year 2010 they have been ranked according to the points that they have picked by the number of matches won. There have been further rankings on the basis of highest runs scored by the best batsman, highest number of wickets taken by the best bowler and also the best all rounder.
