Security forces have launched a huge operation against the Maoists in Jharkhand. They have surrounded a hill thereby trapping around 250 guerrillas by snapping the supply lines.
The operation named 'Jaal Char' is handled by the state police and CRPF in Latehar district, at a distance of 145 km from Ranchi.
It has been informed this operation was started 10 days back by 2000 security personnel in a synchronized way. Gun fire continued for five days in this and now the Maoist’s supply line is disrupted.
Police stated that 8 Naxals have been killed; one Maoist camp destroyed and landmines, mobile phones, bombs and medicines have been confiscated. In the hill, which sprawls over 17 sq. km has 15 villages. Union Home Minister has been informed about the developments.
18 of the 24 districts in Jharkhand are Maoist infested.
The Supreme Court has brought out guidelines which specify time required for vacating government residences occupied by members of the parliament, judges and government employees on their retirement or when they are not holding office.
The Supreme Court bench led by Justice P. Sathasivam stated judges will have one month from their retirement to vacate government accommodation while the government employees will have 15 days to do so.
If an MP does not vacate the premises in the specified time, the matter will be reported to the Lok Sabha speaker or the Rajya Sabha chairman. This matter would from there go to the house committee which would adopt suitable measures for solving this issue.
The Sensex soared on Friday, which was for two days in succession, though the gain was only 85 points.
The market got a boost of positive sentiments and improved buying in oil and gas, FMCG, capital goods.
There was selling in IT and technology, media and entertainment. BSE started at 19,568.79 points and ended at 19,495.82 points, that meant an increase of 84.98 points or 0.44 percent from what it ended yesterday at 19,410.84 points. Intraday high was 19,640.27 points and there was a low of 19,477.74 points. NSE also closed 0.53 percent more that is 30.95 points more at 5,867.90 points.
Vikas Gowda grabbed the first gold in the 20th Asian Athletics Championships at Pune’s Balewadi Sports Complex.
It was his 30th birthday when he got the gold. Gowda threw the discus to a distance of 64.90 m. The medal came in his fourth attempt.
It was a good day for India when MR Poovamma also got 400m silver and Ratiram Saini a 10,000 m bronze.
The athletes from China are leading in the championships both in male and female category.

Earlier Shah Rukh spoke on his third baby and stated that it was a personal matter. He said that he appreciated everyone’s interest to speculate about his third baby, but he wished not to speak on it.

Vodafone like Airtel and Idea Cellular now will provide free incoming calls at Rs 5 per day. This will also include much cheaper outgoing calls and SMS during national roaming.
This follows the directive from TRAI to offer roaming plans to the customers at discounted rates.
Customers can make a call at 1.5 p per second in the daily plan which exists for prepaid customers. There is also a monthly plan at Rs. 71 for prepaid users and Rs. 75 for the postpaid users. Airtel’s monthly plan comes at Rs. 79.
