According to reports, in early trade, rupee has gained 17 paise to 68.04 against the dollar at Interbank Foreign Exchange. As per the forex dealers, rupee received support because of the weakness in the dollar against some currencies of other countries.
The Cricket Club of India felicitated MS Dhoni at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadiumfor his contribution to Indian cricket. Dhoni stepped down as captain of the Indian limited overs, but is leading India A against England in the first, out of two matches which are to be played before the beginning of the three-match ODI series.

According to reports, 500 public wi-fi hotpots went live across the city of Mumbai on Monday. This is the biggest public Wi-Fi network in India and one of the largest in the world. Reportedly, 700 more hotspots are going to be activated in the city by 1 May.
During the trial period of six days, near about 23,000 users signed up and also downloaded over 2TB (TetraByte) data. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis mentioned it digital empowerment in the state.
Aamir Khan's recent film Dangal has broken record of his own film PK, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. In just 17 days of its release, the film has become the first to hit the 350 crore mark in Bollywood. The film is now strutting towards a 400 crore mark.
According to reports, Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia addressed a rally in Punjab wherein he dropped a hint that Delhi CM Kejriwal may contest as the party’s chief ministerial candidate in Punjab. He urged the public in the rally to cast their vote for Kejriwal assuming he is their chief minister.
Reacting to this, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal mentioned that this proves that the party does not have faith in the people of the state.
The Assembly election in the state will be held on 4 February.
