BJP president Amit Shah while speaking to newly-elected representatives during a Sushashan Sankalp programme in Bhopal said that the land bill is pro farmers and blamed the Congress for spreading rumours about the land bill. BJP president also said that government is working for the welfare of farmers and taking decisions favoring farmers, like it has increased compensation for natural calamities.
Royal Challengers Bangalore won the IPL match against Mumbai Indians by 39 runs in Mumbai. Though Keiron Pollard (49) and Lendl Simmons (68) played really well but could help the team to win. Royal Challengers Bangalore lost Chris Gayle early but did not lose their game momentum. AB De Villiers and Virat Kohli remained not out and showed a great game. Royal Challengers Bangalore scored a huge score of 235 for 1. AB De villiers made 133 off 59 balls with 19 fours and 4 sixes. Virat Kohl made 82 off just 50 balls with six fours and four sixes.

As per a report by telecom regulator TRAI total gross revenue of telecom service providers got increased by 9.54 per cent to Rs 63,955 crore in October-December, 2014. In the same period but in 2013 the combined gross revenue of operators was at Rs 58,385 crore. In Oct-Dec quarter the number of telephone subscribers in India increased by 6.09 per cent to 970.97 million and there is an increase of 6.51 per cent to 943.97 million in the mobile or wireless subscriber base.
Finance minister Arun Jaitley said that India needs to invest more in agriculture for a continuous growth in economy. He added that country's economy grew approximately by 7-7.5 per cent last fiscal year. While inaugurating three social security schemes, finance minister said that India's potential is more than 7 or 8 per cent. He added that agriculture at present is the biggest challenge because of unseasonal rain that resulted in an agrarian crisis.
AIADMK workers on Sunday have organized prayers in various temples for a judgment in the favour of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and party chief Jayalalithaa. The Karnataka high court is about to decide on an appeal by Jayalalithaa against her conviction. À fine of Rs 100 crore and four years prison sentence was imposed on her for offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

He said that instead of scams there is development and then he dedicated the Rs.16,000-crore renewed and modernised IISCO Steel plant at industrial town of Burnpur in Burdwan district, West Bengal. He also said that a foundation has also been set up from the mines royalty for the benefit of the people and the states having huge coal deposits.
