The Sena has told him to do so and hence he withdrew his candidature from the legislative council elections. Narvekar is son-in-law of Ramraje Naik Nimbalkar. Many senior leaders like Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, NCP candidates Hemant Takle, Kiran Pawaskar and Congress leader Narayan Rane are in contact with him. Narvekar said that decision of joining NCP is not because of just one incident. Leaving Sena is like a breaking point. Narvekar will contest elections from Maval constituency. NCP is the main part of the UPA government. The party this time is contesting from about 30 seats. But party President Sharad Pawar is not in the race of becoming PM. He can act as a link between the UPA and regional parties to form government.

The complaint has been filed with Chief Election Commissioner V S Sampath. Copies of the same were given to the media. All the political parties were directed not to hold any conference at Anandpur Sahid during ‘Hola-Mohalla’. According to the orders of the ECI political parties must not use any kind of religious premises for political purposes and holding conference. Now the Punjab Congress is demanding strict actions against Badals for holding conference at a religious place and influencing voters.
Match between five-time world champion Viswanathan Anand and Vladimir Kramnik played out to draw. The match ended in the foorth round but Anand maintained his lead in the Chess tournament. Russians were fully prepared to defeat the Anand but he played so well in the game. He won two games out of three. Russian is now standing with Levon Aronian of Armenia in point tally and both are at 2.5 points. 10 rounds of the game are still pending and it is so early to say anything about the final outcome.
