NGT to Ban Over 10 Year Old Diesel Vehicles in Delhi
After Aam Aadmi Party showed disrespect to one of the holiest books of Sikh Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal paid his visit to Golden Temple and apologised for the act. He washed utensils at Golden Temple. He reached Golden Temple at 3.45 am on Monday and performed his sewa.
With an effort to control the pollution level in the city, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) mentioned on Monday that the diesel vehicles which are more than 10 year old will be banned. The Regional Transport Offices in Delhi have also been directed by the NGT to de-register all the diesel vehicles which have crossed 10 years from the date of their registration. Some concerned departments will also be submitting reports to NGT, on air pollution caused by burning garbage.
