A case has been registered against Kumar Vishwas, AAP leader in Lucknow who is the possible candidate to be pitted against Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha polls at Amethi. Ram Prasad Mishra who is the general secretary of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Sewa Samiti filed the case against Vishwas. Kumar is said to have made insensitive comments against Hindu deities and Karbala martyrs. The investigation is on and the videos of the controversial speeches will be probed into. This was informed by a police official, Satish Gautam. He further specified that investigation will be done basing on the details of the complaint. The complainant has mentioned that some poems as well as words of Vishwas hurt the religious sentiments of both Hindus and Muslims. FIR is filed under Indian Penal Code’s Sections 295, 295 (a).
Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde informed that a judicial probe has been ordered by Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung into the alleged inaction against five Delhi Police officers by the AAP government in Delhi. He also requested CM Kejriwal to end his protest complying with the dignity of his office. Shinde also dismissed Kejriwal’s claim of bringing in the Delhi Police under the AAP government. Shinde stated that Delhi being the national capital, the Delhi Police has to be under the central government as there was a process in place. Kejriwal along with his colleagues and supporters have staged a dharna at a short distance from parliament after police obstructed them to reach Shinde's office. AAP has put blame on the Delhi Police for inaction against a family who burnt their daughter-in-law, in a case of alleged sex and drug racket and recently the rape of Danish woman near the New Delhi railway station. Shinde also informed that assembling of four or more people near the home ministry and other central government offices was prohibited keeping in mind Republic Day which is near.
Sensex soared by 141 points or 0.67% today as bank and information technology stocks went up. BSE which is 30 scrips started at 21,083.53 points and ended at 21,205.05 points that is a gain of 141.43 points from the previous day's close at 21,063.62 points. In the intraday trading it reached a high of 21,122.37 points and a low of 21,001.13. the 50 scrip Nifty ended at 42.30 points or 0.68% up at 6,303.95 points.The main gainers were: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) soaring by 5.53% at Rs.2,338.25; Wipro got a gain of 3.77% at Rs.573.30; Sesa Sterlite increased by 2.49% at Rs.205.50; ITC was up by 1.65% at Rs.330.20; and Tata Motors increased by 1.34% at Rs.374.60. Those who incurred losses were: Reliance Industries dipped by 1.70% at Rs.869.50; Coal India went down by 1.12% at Rs.269.70; Tata Power scaled down by 1.02% at Rs.77.60; Sun Pharma was down by 0.81% at Rs.589.35; and Bharti Airtel dipped by 0.79% at Rs.308.75.
The final and semifinal matches of the Hockey India League (HIL) can be viewed for just Rs.100 for both days. The semifinal match was held on February 22 and the final will be played on February 23 in Ranchi. The tickets can be booked online at www.ticketgenie.in. The general ticket is Rs 100 while VIP tickets Rs 200. These rates are for the North Stand (Block B) and East Stand (Block C and D) of the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium. The tickets for West Stand are Rs 200 for upper for the semis and Rs.300 for the final. HIL chairman Narinder Batra specified that the tickets have been kept low so that everyone can enjoy the game. The tournament which will extend for 6 months will start with the match between Jaypee Punjab Warriors vs Delhi Wave Riders on January 25 at Mohali.

Apple has introduced the 3 year old iPhone 4 at Rs 22900 with 8 GB internal storage to enhance its market share and for competing in the mid-range smartphone category. Some of the premium resellers are offering the phone at Rs 22,500 and is available only in black color now. The phone though is not available in all the stores and only some have the stock for this. There were reports last week that a buyback scheme will be introduced by Apple wherein the price of iPhone 4 will be scaled down to Rs 15,000, there is no word on this from Apple. The buyback scheme though is for iPhone 4s which is priced at Rs 31,500, but there can be discount of upto Rs 5000 on iPhone 4S (8GB) which can be available as less as Rs 26,500.

The long-range, nuclear-capable, surface-to-surface Agni-IV missile was successfully from a military base in Odisha. The missile has the capacity of hitting the targets 4000 km away. The missile was tested for its full capacity from the Wheeler Island near Dhamra in Bhadrak district at a distance of 200 km from Bhubaneswar. The missile which has been developed and tested by Defence Research and Development Organisation is 20 m in height and has 17 tons of weight has 2 stages of solid propulsion. Last test was done in the same base at September 19, 2012.
