As per media reports, the seventh edition of the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon is likely to will be held on 23 November. The organisers are expecting more competitors this year than last year which was reported to have 31,000 entries. The fees for the event is kept as Rs. 1,300 for the professionals for the half marathon and Rs. 600 for amateurs for the great Delhi run.
As per media reports, a case of rape has been filed against the Railway Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda’s son. The woman who has filed the complaint claims that she is married to the boy. Karthik Gowda, the minister’s son has rejected the claims by the woman. The woman is reported to be small-time model and has also acted in Kannada films.
According to the health ministry, 821 passengers have been tracked for the Ebola virus in India so far. Most of them belong to Kerala,Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. As per a statement released by the ministry, a passenger travelling from Nigeria has been found with few symptoms of the virus; however, her reports are still awaited.
Indian boxers Mary Kom and Akhil Kumar made a comeback to the boxing squad for the Asian Games to be held next month. Both the players put a strong fight during the two day selection trials. 13 boxers including 10 men and 3 women have been selected to represent India in the Asian Games, post these trials.

The central government has launched the .Bharat domain in Devanagari script which covers eight languages including Hindi, Marathi and Konkani. After the launch, the individuals or the companies who wish to own a website with domain name in Hindi will be able to do so. The domain ‘.Bharat’ will be used as an extension in place of the common domains such as .Net, .Com or .In.
With a view to strengthen the risk market, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has asked the depositories to set up a fund that would act as a safety net in case of default. As per reports, the regulator has also asked the clearing houses to launch separate funds for different market segments such as debt, currency and equity.
Militants struck again when a bomb explosion in the Chandel district of Manipur took life of two Assam Rifles Jawans and injured one. The bomb is reported to have exploded during the time when the 3rd Assam Rifles battalion was patrolling around their post in Old Somtal area.

As per reports, Pakistan continues to violate the ceasefire as its troops again resorted to firing at the Indian position on the border. As per a statement from an army official,Pakistan resorted to unprovoked firing in the Pargwal region of Jammu and Kashmir. He also informed that few outposts were also affected due to the firing.
The Supreme Court has okayed the penalty of Rs 630 crore on real estate giant DLF, imposed by Competition Commission of India (CCI) for exploiting its dominant position to the disadvantage of its clients in three different projects in Gurgaon. The bench of Justice N.V. Ramana and Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai has found DLF guilty of unfair trade practices.
