To stress upon the good governance, PM Narendra Modi has asked his ministers to chalk out a plan for the first 100 days and show him the timetable. He also asked the cabinet ministers to respond quickly to the issues pertaining to the states. As per media reports, Modi specified that good governance was the need of the hour.
The first session of the 16th Lok Sabha will be held from June 4 to June 11, this was informed by M Venkaiah Naidu, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister. As per media reports, he also informed that the oath taking ceremony for the new members will take place on June 4 and June 5 and that of the speaker, a day later. The President will be addressing the joint session of the Parliament. On June 9, the joint session of the Rajya Sabha will start.
Normal life in Telangana was paralysed with the 'bandh' called by K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the TRS President, as per media reports. This was called as a mark of protest against the transfer of 200 villages of Telangana for the Polavaram Irrigation Project. Buses were off the roads, and shops and establishments remained closed in the various parts of the region.
Girls have edged past the boys in the CBSE Class XII results, as per media reports. The pass percentage of girls is 10.25% more than the boys and stands at 88.52%, whereas the boys have 78.27% pass percentage. The total pass percentage was merely 0.5% above the last year’s figures and stands at 82.66%.
AirAsia India will begin its operations on June 12, and the ticket sales will kick-start from tomorrow. As per media reports, this was stated by Tony Fernandes , AirAsia CEO. However, there is no news regarding the places from where the flight operations will start. The airline is going to begin operations after 9 months of long wait.

What is more surprising is the fact that even though there are 7 players from Punjab in the team, there is no buzz.
