The government has denied the reports about snooping on Road Transport and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari’s residence and office. Union Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley dismised the media reports to this effect as ‘speculative’, while spaeking in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha respectively. The statements came after the Opposition parties raised the issue in the Parliament on Wednesday.
More than a dozen people were injured in a clash which was ignited between the two sects of Muslims. The clash occurred on a minor reason, i.e., over the right to first offer Eid prayers. The Sheikhs and the Qureshis in the Alipur area of Kharkhauda village got into altercation about who will first offer prayers at the mosque. The mob burnt some shops and vehicles and even the police, who reached the spot to pacify them, was attacked and beaten up. According to an official, a probe has been intitated and additional security deployed in the area.
Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal - the owners of consumer internet venture Flipkart - are reported to have excess of $1 billion combined net worth which is close to Information Technology billionaires N R Narayan Murthy and Nandan Nilekani of Infosys. As per reports, they have a combined stake of around 15 per cent at over Rs 6,000 crore. In three years, from 2011-2014, the sales for Flipkart grew from $10 million to $2 billion, which is a 100 time growth in a short time.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has directed the deployment of more staff to facilitate the return of Indians from Libya. She has instructed that the staff should be increased in the Indian mission in Tunisia to aid more Indian nationals who have travelled to violence hit Libya. According to a spokesperson of MEA, the Indian mission in Tripoli is in contact with approximately 4500 Indian nationals who wish to return to the country.
Indian wrestlers put a stunning show in the Commonwealth Games on the day 6 by winning three of the five medals. Sushil Kumar, Amit Kumar and Vinesh Phogat bagged gold medals in the wrestling events held in the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC). Rajeev Tomar had to settle for a silver medal. In shooting, Sanjeev Rajput and Gagan Narang have won the silver and the bronze medals respectively. Harpreet Singh also won the silver for the country in the 25m rapid fire pistol shooting.

It intends to improve the Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM) process to strengthen performance discipline within the group.
