All India Radio in Cuttack is one of the primary and active modes of communication in the city. Radio in Cuttack airs various programs at different frequencies. News is also transmitted in different languages.

The all India Radio Cuttack was started on 28th of January in the year 1948. The radio has its high power transmission stations at Sambalpur, Cuttack and Jeypore. There are local radio stations at Puri, Baripada, Joranda, Balangir, Keonjhar, Rourkela and Berhampur. FM Rainbow is another station aired by the All India Radio in Cuttack. The programs of Akashvani Cuttack are aired at 101.3 Mhz and 972 kHz.
