Factors Causing Fog in Delhi
There are a number of factors that lead to the fog formation in Delhi. In Delhi, the winter season persist from almost the end of November and continues till February. Delhi, which is placed in between the Himalayas and the Aravallis, is prone to the cold winds that blow from the Himalayas. This makes the winter temperature of Delhi almost unbearable.
Major parts of the city remains covered with a thick sheet of fog during the early mornings and also during the evenings. The problem of fog in Delhi is faced in almost every year. The winter fog of Delhi often thickens to such extent that the normal life of the city is brought to a standstill.
