Bahujan Samaj Party in Delhi


Bahujan Samaj Party in Delhi is one of the premier political parties of the country. Kanshi Ram, the founder of Bahujan Samaj Party or BSP established the party in 1984. The aim of the party is to fight for the economic and social rights of the scheduled caste people in India.

Bahujan Samaj Party is chiefly shouldered by Mayawati, the acting President and General Secretary of the party. The party focuses on maintaining equilibrium between the higher and lower social systems of India, using the power of the state. BSP in Delhi precede their movement supported by the 'Dalits' in India, who are the actual strength and backbone of the party.

The Bahujan Samaj Party is recognized by its Elephant Symbol. The head quarter of the Bahujan Samaj Party in Delhi is located at 12, Gurudwara Rakabganj Road. During last general election, the party has occupied 6 seats in Rajya Sabha and 19 seats in Lok Sabha.
