Political career of Nikhil Kumar
Laced with a masters degree in Modern History from Allahabad University in Uttar Pradesh, he began his career as the Commissioner of Police, Delhi. He served office in this post from 1995 to 1997, until he became the Director General of ITBP in the year 1997. He is presently associated with the Mazdoor Kisan Samanvaya Samiti since 2003. He is the President of Anugrah Sewa Sadan, Patna; Chairman of ANS Institute of Social Studies, Patna and SPCA, Bihar. He also leads the Gandhi Ashram Trust in Hajipur as its President.
