About Sahib Singh Verma
The birthplace of Sahib Singh Verma was Mundka Village in Delhi, where he was born on 15th March, 1943. His mother was Bharpai Devi and his father, Mir Singh was a Jat farmer. He got married to Sahib Kaur in 1954 and has 3 daughters and 2 sons. As far as his education is concerned he had not only obtained a master degree in Arts but a Ph.D and master 's degree in Library Science.In the first phase of his career he was a librarian at Bhagat Singh College in New Delhi. The political career of Sahib Singh Verma began when he started working as a volunteer for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or the RSS. Gradually he got more involved with politics and in 1977 he got elected to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. He was the Education Minister of India in 1993. Later he was the Chief Minister of Delhi between 1995 and 1998. He was also the former Union minister between 1999 and 2004, when he represented Outer Delhi in the lower house of Indian Parliament or the Lok Sabha.
Sahib Singh Verma, the former Chief Minister of Delhi is remembered as one of the eminent people of Delhi.
