Built by carving 6000 tons of pink sand stone brought from Rajasthan, the craftsmanship lies in the temple's design, which has nothing to do with metals like steel and iron. The beauty of the temple is encaptured in the fine filigree on the walls and the pagoda, which display the sadhus and saints in various meditative postures.
Incense, the clamor of the bells and the plush greenery of the lawn with the gurgling river Yamuna flowing at a distance, create a meditative mood inside the Akshardham temple in Delhi. The fountains seeming to sprinkle the water of divine worship prove to be a beatifying agent for the temple proximity.
The concrete and the abstract seem to converge in the engravings on cold stone, and it is therefore that the Akshardham Delhi is considered to be a divine blessing on earth.
