The wide stretches of beautifully maintained gardens and the monuments further add to the magnificence of the Lodhi Garden. All the tombs that are located in this garden are have been built during the Sayyid and Lodi period. Sikander Lodi’s Tomb and Muhammad Shah’s tomb are real treat to the eyes of the visitors.
The styling of Muhammad Shah’s Tomb in Lodhi Garden was inspired by the Tomb of Mubarak Shah’s Tomb. Thus, it was given a unique octagonal shape and there are verandas, centrally located chamber, which is also given an octagonal shape and three arched openings. In the central part of the garden lies the Sheesh Gumbad and the Bara Gumbad. Sheesh Gumbad is situated in the opposite side of Bara Gumbad.
Lodhi Garden in Delhi has turned out to be the best jogging spots and also remains crowded with young couples and locales of the city.
