Delhi Monuments

Delhi Monuments include India Gate, Jantar Mantar, Purana Quila, Delhi Palace, Hauz Khas, Red Fort, Tughluqabad Fort, Safdarjung's Tomb, among others. India Gate is a 42 meter high memorial monument of Delhi which was built to pay respect to the martyrs of World War II.

Jantar Mantar is another famous monument of Delhi which was constructed by Sawai Jai Singh of Jaipur. This monument houses instruments of astronomy made up of plaster and brick. The construction of Purana Quila of Delhi started in 1533 during the reigns of Humayun. The pottery of 1000 BC is an enticing appeal of this monument.

Hauz Khas, Delhi Palace, Humayan's Tomb and Red Fort are some of the other historical monuments of Delhi that are quite famous for their ancient grandeur. Each and every Delhi monument is associated with some or other historical significance. The rich history and royal architecture of all the monuments of Delhi attract hundreds and thousands of tourists from all over the world.
