Delhi Museums

Delhi Museums feature a wide range of exhibits from ancient artworks to modern day engineering. They primary include the India Habitat Center, International Dolls Museum, National Museum of India, National Railway Museum and the Teen Murti Bhavan. Among these the most important Delhi Museum is the National Museum of India.

Museums in Delhi depict tradition, culture as well as technology. The National Museum of India in Delhi, located in the Barakhamba Road, increases environmental education and initiates the consciousness for conservation. It is the perfect place, which introduces children to the world of flora and fauna. The main motto of the National Museum in Delhi is educate as well as entertain.

International Doll's Museum, which is also known as Shankar International Dolls Museum, is located at Bahdur Shah Zafar Marg in Delhi. The museum covers an area of about 5,184.5 square feet and is situated near the Pragati Maidan. The International Doll's Museum has a collection of 6,000 dolls from over 85 countries.

The National Railway Museum in Delhi established in February 1977, was set up in an area of 10 acres of land in Chanakyapuri. It has a unique collection of rail engines and locomotives. Like all other Museums of Delhi, the National Railway Museum is also extremely well maintained. Here people can see the last steam engine as well as the first electric powered engine of the 1930s. Thus Delhi Museums attract tourists from all over the world.
