MyCustom Map with its useful inbuilt tools is a great resource for all - be it students, executives or publishers.
Overview of the Tools
Open New Map: It contains a drop down list of all available maps, which can be customized as per your preference. Select a map from the list and it will get loaded on the page.
Save Map: Save the customized map image in your local system. Please note that you have to install the capturer application to save the image(You can install the application, once you have subscribed).
Selection Tool: To shift the editable text and icons anywhere on the map. For example, if a text is written in the zone of Rajasthan and it is to be shifted it to the zone of Andhra Pradesh, click on the 'selection tool' and take your cursor on the text. Once a four head arrow appears, simply drag it to the area of Andhra Pradesh and leave it once you have identified its position in the zone.
Draw a Line: To draw line between any two points or anywhere on the map. Select this tool and bring the cursor on that position on the map from where you want to start the line and drop it where you want to terminate the line.
Sketch a Rectangle: To draw a rectangle shaped icon on the map. Select this tool and move the cursor where you want to position the rectangle shaped icon. You can get a square shaped icon by simply pressing the Shift key while moving the cursor
Oval Icon: To draw an oval shaped icon on the map. Select this tool and move the cursor where you want to position the rectangle shaped icon. You can get a circle shaped icon by simply pressing the Shift key while moving the cursor.
Placemarkers: The tool offers you to choose from five placemark icons. Select a symbol and the cursor will take the shape of the selected icon. This icon can be placed anywhere on the map.
Text n Label: To write and label the map. Select this symbol and communicate facts, figures, data and other information anywhere on the map. You can also increase or decrease the size of the text (between 8 to 72pt) via the slider of this text tool.
Fill in Colors: It offers a wide variety of colors to choose from. The selected color will be displayed in the box below the palette
Erase: To clear lines and text from the map. Select this tool and bring it on the editable text. Once a red dot appears and the eraser also turns its color to red, select the text, which needs to be removed.
Show/Hide Grid: It shows or hides grid on the map.
Show/Hide Layers: It shows or hides State names, Capital Names, and Boundaries on the map.
Color Palette: It offers a wide variety of colors to choose from. The selected color will be displayed in the box below the palette
