D. Pharma


This is the abbreviation of Diploma in Pharmacy. This is an academic course, which is pursued by the students belonging to the discipline of science. The program teaches the basics of pharmaceutical science. It does not have any option that one can choose to specialize in, though. The successful completion of such a diploma course helps an aspirant to be a registered chemist or pharmacist.

An ambitious candidate can even set up a pharmacy on his or her own. However, that necessitates registering their name with the concerned authority. How example, the inhabitants of this country needs to register their names with the P. C. I. or Pharmacy Council of India fir setting up their own pharmacy. Most of these institutes even provide a practical training of 3 months' duration, which assist one id gaining hands on experience of the subject.
