Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode also known as IIM Kozhikode is the 5th institute to be established among the 7 Indian Institutes of Management that has been set up by the Indian Governement. The Institute was set up in 1996 in association with the Government of Kerala. The campus is situated on a hilltop, nestled within the beautiful Western Ghats. The IIMK campus is often called the 'God's own Campus'.

Besides imparting academic education this institute for management education is also involved in training, research, consulting and the intellectual infrastructure development. The Institute concentrates on the improvement of various analytical skills and a focuses on cross-cultural issues besides striking a balance between social concerns and various business demands.

Academic Programs at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode

• Post-Graduate Program in Management (PGP)

It is a 2-years programme that stresses on assimilation of knowledge through varied pedagogies such as case studies, lectures, role-plays, exercises, simulation, video shows etc.

• Executive Management Education Program (eMEP)

The Executive Management Education Programme (eMEP) is the first and one of its kind that is being offered in the Asia Pacific region. It is exclusively meant for the working professionals.

• Management Development Program (MDP)

The Management Development Programmes at IIM Kozhikode are an assortment of innovative training programmes to cater to the growing needs of the industries. The duration of the programmes is 3 to 6 days. The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode also offers various custom-designed programmes.

• Fellow Program in Management (FPM)

IIMK offers FPM programmes in all the management disciplines. It is a 3-4 years residential program mainly dealing with research on the part of the students.

• Faculty Development Program (FDP)

The duration of this program is 3days to 3 weeks. It is designed for the faculty members at IIMK. It also includes “Post-Doctoral Research Programmes”.

• Centre of Excellence (CEx)

The IIMK has a Centre of Excellence (CEx), which caters to the marginalized sections of people like the SC or STs. The program has been designed with the aim to make them emotionally and intellectually capable of working in reputed firms and institutions.

IIM Kozhikode has brilliant placement records in the past few years. The placement takes place in the month of March. The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has been successful in emerging as an excellent centre for management education.
