Ministry of Corporate Affairs

Ministry of Corporate Affairs is engaged in looking after the administration of the 1956 Companies Act. It also takes care of the other allied acts and various policies, rules and regulations. Above all, the Ministry looks after the development of the corporate sector in conformity with the set laws.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has got a number of offices working under it. These offices help the Ministry in carrying out various plans and programs. Some of these are as follows:

The Indian Ministry of Corporate Affairs also administers the 2002 Competition Act. It is going to lead the replacement of the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1969.
