The Criminal Investigation Department of
Haryana Police plays an important role in collecting information for maintaining the law and order of the state. P.V Rathee, IPS is the present Additional Director General of
Police. The State Crime Branch is a recent addition to the department of
Police. It was set up in 2006. It is headed by Dr. J. V George, as Additional Director General of
Police of the Crime Department.
The State Crime Bureau has been set up to aid the investigating agencies. They keep up a record of the criminal activities. Under many officials, Resham Singh, the Additional director of Police of State Crime Bureau is heading the department. It has the following departments
