One of the ancient place of Himachal Pradesh, Mandi is famous for the picturesque scenic beauty that enthralls and enchants the tourist with its bewitching beauty. Being an important business and religious hub, the traditional city of Mandi attracts several tourist through out the year.

Spread over an area of 3950 sq. km, the district of Mandi encompasses a population of 9.01 lakhs. Mandi bears the relics of the rich historical and cultural past of the bygone golden era which is manifested through the splendid spots of tourist interest. Some of the notable tourist spots of Mandi are:

  • Rewalsar- The historic and religious lake of Rewalsar attracts several devotees through out the year. Reflecting the rich secular culture of the district, the place houses a Sikh Gurdwara, a Buddhist Monastery and a Hindu Temple

  • Prashar- The place derives its name from the renowned sage Prashar. The enchanting beauty of the serene lake coupled with the huge temple of the sage makes Prashar one of the favorite spot for the tourist

  • Joginder Nagar- Apart from the natural scenic beauty of the place, Joginder Nagar attracts tourist because of its famous hydro- electric power project that is the result of the untiring efforts of people of the region

  • Sunder Nagar- Situated at a distance of 26 kilometer from Mandi, the beautiful place of Sunder Nagar is well known for the several temples that draws many devotees all over the country

  • Janjheli- For those who want to indulge in some kind of adventures, Janjheli is the perfect place for them. Popularly known as the best place for trekking, Janjheli is also noted for its beautiful green landscape
