Himachal Pradesh Judiciary

Like all other states in India, Himachal Pradesh has an efficient Judiciary system. Judiciary in Himachal Pradesh comprises of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh and several district courts. The High Court of Himachal Pradesh was established in 1948 and it is performing its duties consistently. Recently, a sprawling new complex has been built for the High Court of Himachal Pradesh.

The Registrar General is the senior most District and Session Judge according to the Himachal Pradesh Judiciary and also the chief ministerial head of the Registry. The Himachal Judicial service has the Registrar vigilance as the senior district and session judge. He also serves as the head of High Court's Vigilance Bureau. The present Chief Justice of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh is Mr. Justice V.K. Gupta. The other honorable judges are:
