Himachal Pradesh Labor Court and Tribunal

The department of Labor Court and Tribunal was set up in the picturesque picture postcard state of Himachal Pradesh in the year 1988. Ever since its inception, a District and Session Judge was appointed as the Presiding Officer.

The Labor Court and Tribunal has tremendous significance on deciding upon cases and in arriving at a fair verdict on all cases referred under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. The labor court keeps in mind the grievances and dilemmas of people from various parts of the state and hence is mobile. This means that workers do not have to travel all the way down to Shimla for redress.
