The Tribune is one of the oldest Newspapers in the northern region of India. It has been serving the people of this region over a period of 125 years with much dedication. Thus it is believed to be a dependable source of information by the North Indian people.

So on this occasion the Chief Minister did not forget to mention that by launching a separate edition The Tribune family has fulfilled a long- pending demand of the English Newspaper readers of this state.

A unique feature of The Tribune is that it is owned by a Trust with many eminent personalities as the members of the Board. It is being published from the pre- Independence era. After it was dislocated from Lahore the city of Simla provided it a temporary shelter.
