Indian Election 2004 has, as usual, been very interesting with a myriad of claims and counterclaims. To begin with the BJP was expected to comfortably sail through the elections and form the Government. It was this belief that led the NDA government to advance the Indian Elections. Then the exit poll results indicated a hung Parliament, with the BJP unable to reach the halfway mark of the total number of seats of 543. This put both the BJP and the Congress on tenterhooks, each then trying to get support from other parties that were expected to get over a 100 seats.
