Himachal Pradesh Images

Located in northern India, the state of Himachal Pradesh is bordered by Jammu and Kashmir to the north, Punjab to its west, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to the south, Uttrakhand to its south-east and the Tibet Autonomous Region to its east. The name Himachal Pradesh literally means Land of Snowy Mountains and the state is home to some extraordinary scenic beauty. Himachal Pradesh is situated in the western Himalayas and its elevation extends from 350 meters to 7000 meters above sea level. Rivers and glaciers can both be found in the state and in fact some of the glaciers here are older than the mountains.
