The National Museum: This Delhi Museum is one of the principal depositories in India containing some of the excellent artifacts of Indian civilization dating back to the days of pre history. The museum has some of the finest collections of stone and bronze sculptures of the Chola period, Buddhist manuscripts and miniature paintings coupled with the Buddha relic from Piprahwa. The Nehru memorial Museum: This is the house where the first prime minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru spent 16 years of his life. After his death the house was turned into a museum containing artifacts from his birth till death.

The Gandhi memorial Museum: This museum is built in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi, 'Father of the nation'. The museum exhibits the rich tradition and handicrafts of India. Craftsmen from around the country are brought here to display their skills.

The Rail Transport Museum: This museum displays the vintage locomotive along with the Viceregal Dining Car and the Prince of Wales Saloon.
