Delhi Museums

Delhi has been the capital of many rulers who ruled India for a long time. The Delhi museums bear artifacts of glorious past.   • The Nehru memorial Museum: This is the house where the first prime minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru spent 16 years of his life. After his death the house was turned into a museum containing artifacts from his birth till death.

  • The Tibet House Museum: It stands on the Lodhi road an dis an abode of jewelery, rityual objects and tankhas.

  • The Gandhi memorial Museum: This museum is built in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi, 'Father of the nation'. The museum exhibits the rich tradition and handicrafts of India. Craftsmen from around the country are brought here to display their skills.

  • The Rail Transport Museum: This museum displays the vintage locomotive along with the Viceregal Dining Car and the Prince of Wales Saloon.
